No, I meant a thin smear of something like Sika 291. But Super 77 is a better idea for something like this, where cosmetics are important. I've used both.

Slide a small matching patch inside and glue in place with polyurethane. Several variations (easier to do neatly if you take the cover off), depending on the color.
