I bought several random cheap "Dyneema" RV tow lines several years ago. I pulled them to breaking, and all exceeded the promised minimum breaking strength, though the strength was less per diameter...

Excellent point. You really need the 6 sigma bars for critical design. On the other hand, our calculations of loading max and cycles are empirical at best.

Why are you "very confident?" To my understanding (which could be wrong) Dyneema line has a track record running around pulleys both on boats and in logging applications suggesting better flex life...
