Oh... as far as thicknesses go, in a hand layup 1708 works out to be just shy of 3/16 for 2 layers. Just shy of 1/4 for 4.

When you build up an inch thick with it, the just shy starts stacking up...

First off, before you do this... go ahead and get some whole sale accounts lined up. You are talking about 900 bucks easy worth of glass, probably close to double that in resin if you go name brand....
