Yeah, but then you have to be concerned about the battery in the remote. Remember, none of us need a VHF ...until the day you NEED it.

I took went with Standard Horizon and a RAM mike last year and am very pleased with the result. I'll take a hard wired remote any day over wireless as batteries fail just when you need them.
