Angry mobs seem pretty common place in the news in the USA

Happens every weekend here
Boats all heading to one destination at some point start to converge with faster boats approaching other vessels from behind.

Must be pirates in your mind.:rolleyes:

I didn't pretend to know what was going on at all
I made a suggestion of what could be going on.

There was no evidence provided that they were actually pirates
All that was shown was a boat...

So you have nothing then?

In South East Asian waters , as an example, local boats often approach shiney white boats for a look.
Often they'll cut across the bows so the "luck" transfers across.

How do they know they were pirates and not some fisherman cruising past for a look or to offer some fish in exchange for whatever?

I have boats come up on me like that...

Pretty much every instance I've ever read of, where a vessel has been boarded with multiple bad guys looking to steal stuff
It's always the owner who comes out swinging or with a gun that ends up...
