Most alternators are three phase. That is not a three phase transformer. If there are single phase alternators it could be a regulator. I have my doubts about that. OP are there any shore power... |

My first thoughts. It’s a toroidal transformer. That’s for sure. (Toroidal is the shape, like a donut.) The switch selects a tap on the transformer. This adjusts voltage. That’s almost for sure... |
