I would rough out your ideas/plans on paper first. Then using cardboard and a hot glue gun mock it up in the boat. Not hard or expensive. No sense spending too much time detailing a drawing that... |

I would use 1/2" ply, it needs framing only where it will attach to other sections. Any thinner ply will either be too weak and flexible or need additional strengthening which complicates... |

Best marine plywood I have used is Joubert from France. Aqua Tek and Hydro Tek are also very good. Totally waterproof and void free. I have not noticed any quality differences over 30 years as long... |
