So you insist that 100-150 kg is "too much weight" for let say 17m catamaran? Yes, storage under that bed might be sacrificed, but 56ft cat has enough space on it.

I suppose you could, but if you'll mount deep fryer in the middle of bed platform, you might have to sleep in galley.

I know it's much more needed for monohulls, but it's probably not too easy to adapt it there due to big angles. And in not so friendly seas this could be useful on cat too, I guess. I actually...
