Well put... we're in a transitioning state. LFP's are "the future" for the time being, until there is a better option. AGM were the future back in the days...

That's correct, it's not a "good" indicator, but it is one nevertheless. IOW, the higher the resting voltage, the more "juice" is still left in that batt. Only with LFPs, that voltage difference is...

Then just set the floating voltage to about 13.3V.

Problem solved and you keep all the advantages of LFPs.
