Most of the big boat sailing was on half, three quarter, and one tonners (I realize I'm dating myself!) although I spent a season on a 56 footer. She was steered by tiller, her headsails were hanked... |

A lot of words about switches, procedures, etc. and not one person addressed the basic question: why the heck would you have an electric winch on your boat at all? Or a jib furler? Or a steering... |
