I consider myself a gutsy guy, but I'd be careful getting more than about 2 hours away from shelter in a C22. There's a fair chance you could cross the Atlantic in a C22 with great weather, but one... |

Is it a swing keel? If so, my BIGGEST concern would be a knockdown in heavy wind and seas, and the swing keel swinging back up into the hull, resulting in capsize. Might never happen, might happen.... |
