I'm not in a good place to look at charts right now but if I remember there are a bunch of shallows (Silver Banks, etc.) on the rhumb line to Boqueron from the TCI. I was warned not to try to cross...

I seriously considered that route a little over a year ago. For a variety of reasons we chose the VanSant route and it wasn't all that easy!! If I had to do it again, I'd take the south coast.
