Lightning can damage wiring especially the negative common wires. Check the connections. An easy way to check would be to turn all lighting on rattle and check wiring and see if lights flicker or...

Sounds like a bad connection or something causing voltage drop, bypass some of wiring by connecting direct to battery, read through northoceanbeach tiller pilot low voltage and systematically go...
