a good brush will get the excess out of the grooves, just like with woodies we painted with brushed interlux--worked great. didnt fill the grooves. paint horizontally, not vertically, as if it had...

treat the not lapstrake but planked looking boats--lapstrake is overlaping planks..as if you are painting a wood boat--longitudinally. no tape. the paint will flow into the creases nicely,...
