First, you have to pay $40 for SEAiq. Then you transfer your CM93 charts in a zip file onto it using iTunes (SEAiq has detailed instructions on their website).

You don't have to zip them first,...

All of the cellular models of iPads from the beginning, and all iPhones, have had dedicated GPS in them. Cellular towers are not, and were never, needed to for the GPS in any of these.

I have been using SEAiq and it is fantastic. You can use CM93 and BSB/KAP charts with it, as well as other charting formats. You can even make your own charts and use them. If you have an internet...
