You don't mention what size battery bank you have, but 40A is not much charging ability. Because of that, I would go with an inverter charger, which will give you 80-100A charging. Magnum make... |

Guy, what you are missing is that yes, the current is flowing on the skin, but the depth that comprises the "skin" is frequency dependent. For 60hz, that depth is ~8mm, which is larger than the... |

You are incorrect about electrons traveling only on the outside of the wire at 50/60Hz. Untinned wiring is not inherently bad on a boat. Solid house wire isn't any different than other solid... |
