Good point. Suddenly having 8' of draft on the ICW would be the same as slamming on the brakes. Might be tough to deal with in the water though.

I went back & looked at the listing. There's a picture of an outboard in the cockpit & what looks like a centerboard for a dinghy. The diesel is a 2001 45hp Westerbeke. There's self steering...

Going after the seller & broker would be a waste of time which is clearly in short supply. Recommending it to the buyer is counterproductive. You can't buy a 38' boat for less than $12,000 & expect...
