He didnt make a hole in the engine, he's talking about replacing the oil drain plug with a drain plug valve.

No it would be extremely unlikely on a yanmar, maybe on a Limey engine it would be possible:smile:.

I'm a bit stunned about how a supposed vaccuum could affect your oil level. I assume the 2ym15 has some kind of crankcase breather so no vaccuum can occur in sump & once you pull the dipstick any...
