Epoxy gelcoat is more for finish than protection and does not give the same UV protection that polyester or vinyl ester gelcoats give. Both epoxy and epoxy gelcoat will degrade when exposed to UV. ... |

This seems an odd combination Vinyl ester gelcoat is very durable and glossy and most important for a boat is also almost as water proof as epoxy, why would they use polyester gelcoat? Vinyl... |

No moulded boats are built like this over coating afterwards would require fairing and finishing that negates the whole point of using a mould. |
