A DST810 has depth, speed and temp in one insert. In the OP pictures, the top unit (without the thruhull) the ribbed ring toward the top is a nut that holds the insert into the thruhull. Its in the...

The top picture is the insert, while the bottom picture includes the thru-hull. If you already have the correct thru-hull, then all you need is the insert (which goes in from the top/inside)
