I visited a shipyard in the US that pretty much makes it's living fixing up rotting balsa boats. It's not just that someone hasn't properly...

Facinating if true! If there are no structural bulkheads in the boat, what gives it torsional rigidity, to deal with the wracking movement? If they are relying on a monocoque shell to resist these...

That is true the cut follows the crack/split, so it could be structurally bonded again. The boat was repaired (ALOT of work as the boat wracked and split ALL the door bulkheads and furniture...

Do these photos of a Lagoon 420 that suffered structural damage after moderately rough weather off the Aussie coast count?

Note: Owner was not aware of this damage until survey was undertaken to...
