Minikeels add more wetted surface area compared to a boat without them. So there's more friction/drag with them than without. It may be less on your boat compared to others, with larger minikeels,...

I'd add that the Schionning designs are daggerboards, can have kick up rudders and be beachable without mini-keels.

Kato is a G-Force 1800C - so the cruise variant of design and also 18m, not 16. So a 9T 60 footer and she gets along very well. Zero is a lighter build than that, also at 18m, and is quicker than...
