that's a good idea. as long as the rudder stock does break instead of prying open the hull, it would probably be the easiest solution to accomplish. |

good anecdotal input! autopilots? as in electric autopilots? not for me. mechanical is far more reliable, steers better, and doesn't drain your batteries. |

in response, in another interview, Bob Perry states he thinks the best compromise is a rudder with a short skeg as this allows a bit of rudder before the pivot point and keeps the bearing away from... |
