No it's not. Anything "fitted" with any ICE or an electric motor over 200W is a motor vehicle and has to be registered in Qld.

But they still require local registration and that, not your driving licence, is the big problem with trying to use them when cruising. You can drive/ride on a foreign licence, but you can't...

Now that I could use. As opposed to feeling like a right plonker riding one of those single wheels thingies or (GF) a Segway.

A licence to operate a motor vehicle during a short stay is not generally a problem - most countries will let you travel for a few months on your overseas licence.
