The info I presented relates if there are separate throttle and shift controls. As per above if it is a single control the it may not apply for the reasons TrentePieds mentioned above. In which case...

Change the cable mount point and put a hole on the shifter closer to the shaft. That will get you the throw you need. I have the exact same Edson setup.
