I would also say if that happens to you, "venting" the holding tank by slowly unscrewing the pump out hole cover is definitely not a great idea.

For those with the fuel/water mishaps, what did you do? A water fuel mixture must be hard to dispose of.

Yes absolutely. For the record despite this insanity I'm pretty good with repair work. Occasionally an impulse gets the better of me. I just don't want the boat to sink in the meantime.

Put in a new cockpit sole this spring. Today my sink trap pump failed. For some reason full of sulfury egg smelling water. Nasty. Some of it spilled on the floor. Pooling in the corner. Beating...
