I look at my ACA as "major medical" when out of network (State of Florida). But did use at an urgent care in MS when wife broke arm so it does provide a use.

BTW - I signed up for my 2019 ACA health plan the other day. It's going cost my wife and I $27 for the year, $1000 deductible for tests, no copay at primary doctor, $5 copay specialist, generic drugs...

hell there's medical "vacations" to places like India etc for medical treatment

I definitely don't believe the US has the best medical care, basically if they can't cut it or pill it here you are...

If you still work and make so much you can't qualify for ACA, well then you can afford health insurance! It still be an ACA plan, in fact that was the way the system was designed.
