A thought... most of the boats in the South Pacific are probably in French Polynesia... I have several friends up there just now. They don't really have a problem... esp if they have an EU...

Restricted entry of yachts into NZ has nothing to do with keeping Covid out.... its all about the money...

An exemption process has been announced, led by NZ Marine and focusses on the exemption...

Not sure what this has to do with letting cruisers into NZ... however... movements are restricted in Melbourne to 5 km from your home unless you are heading out to bang your girlfriend.... sigh.......

Consider the case of most of these people ..... Panama or Ecuador to FP in March April is what? a month or 6 weeks at sea.... then 4 months in a Covid free zone.... then another month at sea to NZ or...

In March , when the poo hit the fan, most if not all of these yachts would already have been strung out across the pacific from Panama to Fiji... hardly a case of 'casting off into the face of...
