Six day weather forecasts are not particularly reliable. Three day forecasts are very accurate.

I would leave with a good three day window and get daily forecasts at sea. If you get going soon,...

If your preferred outcome is to return to the US then I'd haul the boat and rent a place in Halifax for the winter - shouldn't cost much. Then hire a lawyer in the US to help you fix your US visa...

It's less than 700 miles. With weather luck, your boat will get you there in five days. Don't leave Halifax until you have wind aft of the beam.It's a long slog upwind. Obviously, no hurricanes.
