No need to go to that much trouble, just hack open the oil filter and you will be amazed at how much metal you will find.

Uninformed? Who is? You let an engine seize up and it's damaged. Do you even understand what has happened when an engine has seized up?

Sorry dude, but it's toast, whether it starts again or not. Cold it might run but you won't make it out of the marina before something bad happens.
