i dont think a following sea will make much difference on most boats as the davits/arch is as high as the boom- in my cast 10 feet off the water - and when a wave comes from behind the boat lifts...

Thanks Alot John - I read it all, and is very helpful- You could write a book on this !! You mention you would not use the 230 watt panels , if you had the room would you use them -and if not why-...
