Sorry mate, but you have a notably rusting washer and screw head dripping rust directly onto the cone of the upper fitting....the significant rust on the underside of the upper cone has zippo to do...

looking at 4.png, I'd say a fair bit of the rust involved is coming from the bow spirit above...for sure clean up the bobstay, but address the bottom of the bowspirit too.
