I suppose it depends on your definition of small; mine is a Volvo, 84 horse with a 120 amp Balmar alternator. Still, I would entertain switching to a serpentine system if/when I pull the engine for...

I agree that serpentine belts are superior in many applications, but not all. My V belt system has been doing a fine job for over 30years, and the cost to replace it with a serpentine is prohibitive....
