Yep, that's sometimes more difficult. Assuming conditions permit, crew can usually get lines on cleats from the cockpit, though, and then carry those to the bow as I move the boat further back into... |

Ah. We don't usually (almost never) get off the boat while docking until it's time to take stern lines ashore... and by then, we're already secure with bow line(s) and fore and aft spring lines. ... |
