Yes. Same for South Carolina. That's what this is all about. A USCG documented boat with no state registration visiting Florida for less than ninety days. |

The intended point of this thread. So how do the thousands of boats that visit Florida each year deal with this? Why isn't this in all the cruising guides? How is Florida allowed to do this... |

Florida can force you to register the boat and pay sales tax or prove that you already paid an equivalent amount to another jurisdiction if the boat stays in Florida for over 90 days. Florida is not... |

I spent a few weeks in FL three years ago with no problem. Same boat, documented only. My final destination is back in SC. It just seems to me that a very large number of cruising boats... |

According to the article and the link to the law, this only applies if the boat is registered in another state. My boat (and I suspect many other people's boats) is documented, but not registered. |
