The gshhs high resolution files installer is available again via GitHub:

https://github.com/Rasbats/gshhs/releases/download/v0.1/gshhs_installer.exe

About 3 minutes to download.

Sorry folks,

I did not realise that so many people would want to download the installer for the gshhs files.

My website has been suspended due to exceeding bandwidth transfer allowance....

I have abandoned the HiRes plugin.

Giving the 'gshhs' folder of OpenCPN is a bad idea. And running O as Administrator is a pain. And installing a plugin for this simple job?

With the new DokuWiki the HiRes (alpha) plugin fails because the URL for gshhshires.zip cannot be handled by wxWidgets (wxURL_NOPROTO).

This plugin is not needed for Linux as a ppa package is already available.

Administrator permission is needed to write to the gshhs folder on Windows. An updated version on GitHub tests for the...

HiRes_pi has now been posted to GitHub.

This is a simple utility for adding files from GshhsHiRes.zip to the OpenCPN program. These files produce a better resolution of the
base map coastline...
