Exactly. The polars you get from a designer are for a perfectly fair, clean bottom in board flat water, with empty tanks, locker's, wallets etc It's rare to sail up to the polars. |

Agreed. Real life data is very noisy. Such is life. If you are rigorous with recording you will find the data converges on a real number over time. And that is the most valuable data as it's your... |

I think you are going to have to do it the old fashioned way. Go sailing and record your data until you can assemble a polar. There are some black boxes which will do it from network NMEA data. |
