Actually this raises a very interesting point; why isn't this medium called "ferro concrete"? Isn't cement just the powder component of the 'mud'? |

Not sure what your point is but if you are saying that any used boat regardless of hull material is a big unknown then I have to disagree. Most hull materials are reasonably easy to check for... |

I have always understood that having sections of the hull x-rayed gave a good indication of the amount of steel remaining remaining in the armature - but perhaps I am misinformed :(. |
