Very rough back of the napkin conversion.

1 US gallon of diesel is ~147MJ which is roughly 41 kW-hours.
However the engine is roughly 30% efficient and the alternator is maybe 60% efficient.

Welcome aboard CF, 372RTM.

You could of course, get your existing alternator repaired. It could be as simple as replacing the internal regulator.

As for a replacement, any internally regulated...
