Re: NEED A TOW ASAP
Very odd, but the more Carebear loosens up the more I think we have been trolled, at least partially, in a very spectacular way. My feeling is probably incorrect, but it is hard to shake. |

Re: NEED A TOW ASAP
Well done! It would have been so much simpler if you could have said it at the start. Seriously, a public thank you! |

Re: NEED A TOW ASAP
I think most of them, including my own, looked like Winston Churchill when they were born. I know, I know, he grew into that look a bit later in life. |

Re: NEED A TOW ASAP
Carebear does not owe you an explanation for anything. Period. Sure, we are all possibly curious, but that does not mean the OP owes you or anyone for anything on this forum. Appreciation is... |

Re: NEED A TOW ASAP
The above is a partial quote from post #273. For me it raises a good point. Is there anyway to search a specific thread such as this one for a particular word? Say, for example, could I search,... |

Re: NEED A TOW ASAP
As I recall an early post, there was money for a tow, just not a lot. You sound like the type who is into seeing others learn hard lessons so you can feel better about yourself and the ones you have... |

Re: NEED A TOW ASAP
Keromac. what is with you? Even if you were correct about the condition of the vessel and the buyers' responsibility to inspect being a total shift of responsibility, the sudden loss of docking is... |

Re: NEED A TOW ASAP
Agree 100% but with three possible additions: 1/ include the broker in the small claims action. 2/ have receipts, including extra travel etc. 4/ was there a seller's wife also involved in the... |

Re: NEED A TOW ASAP
I do not know about the language issue, but I do think it appears they were taken advantage of unless the vessel was a near freebie and full disclosure, and perhaps even then. I also have substantial... |

Re: NEED A TOW ASAP
IMHO, the major error was not having a sea trial., with the slip availability in writing. Perhaps upgraded to a condition whereby the broker would provide a back up slip and accompany the buyers on... |

Re: NEED A TOW ASAP
Carebear- Not now, but after you reach your destination, IF you feel it is appropriate, please tell the group the name of the broker. I cannot be sure, but it sounds as if the seller himself may not... |

Re: NEED A TOW ASAP
Still sounds to me like a captain delivery type job, maybe one in the area with a RIB, and a few days on his/her hands who can help out for some money, although a volunteer would be nice. It is dark... |

Re: NEED A TOW ASAP
Just saw the OP's reply (post #104) to Badsanta. Sounds to me like a delivery captain rather than a tow might be in order. |
