My understanding is that the non return valve in the bulb is basically a ball that only allows a one way movement of the liquid in the line. When you squash the bulb the liquid in the bulb squirts...

All the more reason to get a composting head.

Just as an aside using an outboard bulb means the fuel pump has to work harder to get the fuel than if it was simply a fuel line. While I understand...

Just a few random thoughts.

Early in December I helped move a boat from Punta Gorda to Tampa Bay. The owner had just bought it and expected the outboard he put on a 38' Adel to move the boat up...
