Haha, this happened to me too. Got me very worried. Proofed to be a disbalance between my water and half full fuel tank both 1000liters. Also my battery bank is not centered.

Boat is from 1994, all oversized. Only coastal sailing. Inspect rigging by professional every two years and every year bij myself. All original. Ok-ed by insurance company.

Hi, I have never done it as it is not necessary. Might save some time pumping the oil thru the system but you willl spill putting the filter back on. Hate that....

Well you did proceed already, so further comment is fruitless. On our boat we have bare (grey) teak. I just clean with salt water and once a year with Boracol. It is pretty silver-gray

When behind Anchor we leave all open and keys in slot. But have a “beware of the dog” sign out.... in harbour we lock door and hatches (had a downpoor once...)
