looks to me like the bottom of the gasket where the glass can't quite get tight enough. the handles seem to work just fine...i think.

some of our "portlights" are leaking. we tried cleaning the glass and the gasket, and that helped in two cases, but there are still leaks. any ideas? the boat is a 2001 beneteau 381. hatches are...

getting ready to buy a used boat -- 36-39' probably around 1985-90.
choices so far: catalina 36 in good shape, beneteau 37 in decent shape, and a bavaria 37 needing work. comments?

leaving stamford, and planning stops in norwalk, and either branford, westbrook, saybrook, or maybe stonington. any other suggestions or ports of call to recommend?
