I had 1000 and it was a very good plotter. Used it on a cruise from the upper Mississippi to Detroit river using C-Map Max charts and AIS.

It is properly programmed with the same mmsi #, SH told me the same thing but the AIS icon still appears on the screen. It is not a problem at all in the 4 years I’ve used it.

Only valve I’ve seen at the outlet on marine tanks is a anti-siphon valve. It stop any leak in the system from siphoning fuel out of the tank and into the bilge.

When the guides wear some compression that leaks past valve & seat will get past them. Having to put a plug in the dipstick tube to keep it from blowing oil out is a definite indication of worn hard...
