I also have a Volvo D2-55. The only times I have seen white “smoke”
was when the raw water flow was restricted and what I saw was actually steam. Check to make sure your water flow is adequate...

I use cool blue for my refrigerator and freezer. They have operated perfectly. The one time I called coolblue with a question, they were immediately responsive and provided excellent support.
