Re: Air Conditioning

Somewhat easy crossover. I had the installers use the 5 inch speaker holes as discharge vents, once I removed them. They had a tussle snaking the duct behind the saloon sofa (I helped them), but it...

Re: Rig and Sails...mainsail batten hardware

All:

Back on 05-22-14 I posted a FAQ regarding the chore of reinstalling battens. I always felt there must be an easier way. I've since learned more about the batten system. See below pix for...

Re: Hatches, Windows and Ventilation

Excellent, thanks! The water does indeed appear at the front bottom corner of the window inside the saloon. I simply presumed the leak would be below the drain channel because that's the part of...

Re: Hatches, Windows and Ventilation

Revisiting window leaks, please see pix below. Our stbd saloon window leaks, near the spot where the channel that allows rainwater to drain from the top is located. Note the white water mark on the...

Re: Refrigerator and Freezer

Nice! My wife wants to upsize our existing fridge by removing the countertop and putting in a taller fridge. I'm concerned with the weight, particularly once loaded.

Re: Hatches, Windows and Ventilation

One hatch lever in our stbd head is 'very' hard to move. Tried WD 40, PB Blaster; no go. Anyone with any ideas on why this should've happened?

In other news, I recently ordered and received the Chaney fridge/freezer thermometer. After about a week, the display faded. Two new AAA Duracells and all good. That's terrible battery life. I've...

Re: Transmission position while sailing???

Correct. I also have folding props. Keeping the engine in gear (F/R doesn't matter) ensures that the props will fold. Decreases their drag, increases boat speed. I think that with fixed props...

Rabbi:

I think the fuel tank is removed through the starboard stateroom. The 'inboard' wall of the stateroom is removed, then the (disconnected - plug all lines!) tank is slid into the stateroom,...
