Look into RivNuts. You can get them in aluminium or stainless. They are essentially threads that you rivit in. They work awesome in most cases.

Rusty In-Keel Fuel Tank.

Howdy ho...
I have a 40 year old steel boat with an in-keel fuel tank thats rusty inside. I cant access inside it so I cant paint it or coat it with a brush.
If it rusts too much it risks the whole...

Hi

I just purchased this 1972 "Franz Maas" sailboat.
Its a high tensile steel 36ft sailboat. All I know is that it was built in Holland.

GRP Bow thruster on steel boat.

Im looking at installing a tunnel type bow thruster in a 3mm high tensile steel sailboat. The thruster comes with an optional steel tunnel at a rediculous price.

Is there anything wrong with epoxy...

I havn't used one of these, but I know the engine which is based on a Yanmar L-Series air cooled diesel. These come in a variant that is EPA compliant in the US, so they may well be US legal....
