Re: Dakota Lithium??

We installed DL batteries about 18 months ago and have not had any issues. The decision to go with DL was driven by the dimensions of their batteries and our battery compartment. We could get more...

Re: System redesign to drop in LFP

Sounds to me like you need a different alternator regulator. Try the Wakespeed 500.

Roosevelt Island Bridge will open while UN is in session. Normally requires 2 hour notice for the bridge tender to arrive but it will be manned 24/7 during the UN session.

Re: Fusing an alternator on a house bank

If the start battery charger fails the diodes will charge it and keep it at 0.6V below the LFP house battery voltage. I guess you could see that as a plus.

If the start battery really shorts it...

Here is the data sheet for the diodes I used.

My setup is as follows:

All primary charging systems (alternator, solar, wind, AC battery charger) are connected to the LFP house batteries. There...

Re: Fusing an alternator on a house bank

If your start battery is lead acid you can connect the LFP batteries to the start battery via high current diodes. If there is a spike on the LFP side the diodes will activate and the start battery...

Re: Balmar Duo Charge Questions

Well I stand corrected about Balmar support. They actually called me.

My assumptions about how the Duo Charge works were confirmed.

I did learn something I hadn't realized before and that...

Balmar Duo Charge Questions

I use a Duo Charge to charge my starter battery from the house bank. Currently have it programmed to 'Gel' since the starter battery is a gel. Seems to work OK but I am about to change the starter...

Re: Anyone have to re-download Aquamaps charts?

Sounds to me like the issues are related and it does seem to Apple's problem not Aquamaps. My problems also started about a week ago. I haven't checked my ibook files lately. Maybe I need to go...

Got a reply back from Aquamaps tech support. They are aware of the problem and claim that IOS sometimes deletes the map tiles during an update. They have not been able to duplicate the problem but...

Re: Anyone have to re-download Aquamaps charts?

Yes, I downloaded all the charts after the update which introduced their 'new mapping technology'. The problem started shortly after that. I will contact their tech support and see what they say.

Mine have been disappearing over the last few days as well. The 'delete maps' button is switched off.

Very unsafe. Pull out the ipad to check some charts and they are gone! You may not be in a...

Re: New Victron MPPT Firmware

RickG,
