On the top of the rudder shaft there is a possibility to attach (loop through) a line... so what you have to do, when the boat is in the water is to lower the(guide) line through the shaft tunnel ... |

Thank you for yr comments. I am not so sure abt using SS pipe due to weight issue as it will be only connected to the bottom of the hull. In a rough sea state dont you think the pipe gets to heavy... |

On my FP Lavezzi i need to change the alu rudder shafts. What other material then alu tube i could use? After 10 years the alu tubes became brittle. I was thinking pvc pipes but i also see downsides... |

Sorry, but you got the wrong impression.... the only reason i thought that for instance a bow and arrow would work, has mainly to do with registration and clearing in and out a country, besides you... |
