No Lights/Lugger genset DC voltage regulator. Did I kill it?

Pulled a real dumb mistake, and hooked up the start battery on my N. Lights generator backwards: red to neg on battery. Attempted to start the generator for a few minutes, obviously with no luck.

Re: Electrical Surcharge in Marinas

This is a common misconception and it's false. Marinas do like a few liveaboards around. Liveaboard boats rarely sink in their slip. Liveaboards report problems like cords dangling in the water,...

Re: Electrical Surcharge in Marinas

Exactly. On the rare times that I do stay at a dock when traveling the ICW, if there is a choice, I will decline the offer to use their electricity, and I usually use the savings to spurge on a...

Re: Annapolis to Charleston (ICW trip)

Very few people run the ICW at night, so your 24/7 watch schedule might not be needed. There are long stretches of very dark rivers and few of the channel markers are lit, and one can quickly run...

Re: Calling All Members . . . Please Help !

That is correct. The insured amount is the total that you can collect from another's insurance for repairs; or from your own insurance for that matter.

Re: Red over Red - Not Under Command (NUC) Lights

NUC doesn't mean you will not comply with ALL the rules, it means that you probably can't comply with maneuvering rules. Every vessel displaying Red over Red is still obligate to maintain a proper...
